Yule/Winter Solstice is a night time Sabbat centered around the longest night of the year. As the Yule log burns, introspection and banishing spells are common during this dark part of the year.
The celebration comes with the dawn as the wintery sun rises, signaling the beginning of lengthening days. The land is sleeping and animals resting, waiting for the quickening of sap and blood with the growing strength of the sun.
Winter at its darkest, the light and the sun are cherished. Keep the Yule log burning! On this quilt are: snowflakes, an evergreen, a hearth with fire, bells, holly, “Merry Meet . . . “, and a henge and sun at sunrise, with the usual pentacle, Sabbat name and a tree in season.
This listing is for an ACEO print of an original appliqué wall hanging.. It is one of a series of eight (8) that represent each of the eight pagan Sabbats (Samhain, Yule, Imbolc, Ostara, Beltane, Litha, Lammas, and Mabon).
