This scarf is silk and rayon velvet; a medium weight, soft, silky, plush fabric with lovely luster. Able to ward off chilly breezes, and biting (but not too bitter)cold. Pair it with jeans and a t-shirt for casual fun or pair it with your little black dress for an elegant evening on the town.
In dyeing this scarf I focused on the interaction of chosen color combinations while allowing colors and chemistry to add their own element to the design - it’s an exercise in stepping back and trusting the process and my knowledge & intuition of the medium.
Each scarf is dyed with care, in my Southern California Studio.I take great delight and deliberation in the planning of the interacting color and shapes, as well as allowing the art to evolve during the process. I like to my scarves with a comfortable width and generous length while offering a variety of stylish options to accessorize any outfit.
Can be machine washed and dried - it will lose a little shine and have noticeable wrinkles.
Hand wash and dry flat for best long term results.
